All-Inclusive

wEEkend of curiosity

Join me for my upcoming FALL 2024 Weekend Retreat in Divide, CO.

Let's explore your story

REMEMBERING. RESTORING. HEALING.

At the Weekend of Curiosity Retreat we use the Storywork modality to explore who you are and who you're created to be.

We all experience trauma in our lives and this trauma is often rooted in the stories we created during our childhood and youth to help us feel safe.

These stories of harm have shaped who you are and how you interact in the world. We often feel trapped or stuck in cycles of shame and grief, unable to move freely or see clearly.

The Weekend of Curiosity is all about offering new ways to experience yourself within your stories while also doing the sacred work of remembering the truth of who you truly are.

limited spots available.  grab your ticket today.

Are you Wondering…

what is storywork?

The heart of narrative therapy, also called storywork, is all the connected experiences of your life.  In the process of identifying and sharing your stories of pain and trauma, you can begin to heal.

why go back to old stories?

In the details of your personal stories you can find the clues to understand your deepest hurts and how they continue to impact you today.  Those old wounds remain until you are able to receive care in a safe and sacred environment.

what can i expect?

This is a 4 day weekend retreat in a comfortable, relational setting.  Each participant will write their experience of a painful moment in their youth, share their story with the group and offer each other kind and gentle care.

The Retreat Location

Amenities include - hot tub, indoor/outdoor lounge areas, a fully furnished prayer cabin with wood burning stove, walking trails throughout the property, 2 fire pits and gorgeous aspen rich, mountainous scenic views.  We invite you to take time to walk the 35+ acres of beautifully landscaped grounds to enjoy time alone and find peaceful, quiet space for integration.

Food &

Drink

for the soul

I believe that all-around good health starts with what you put into your body (but it should also look good and taste AMAZING!).

Be prepared to enjoy fully home cooked healthy, nurturing, soul-nourishing, delicious meals & snacks throughout the weekend.

(Can meet most dietary restrictions).

“Attending one of Kim‘s story weekends was eye-opening. It was amazing to observe other people's stories, and the insights that happen just by listening. When it came to my story the questions and the few statements made offered an overarching view of how I have lived in an unhealthy pattern.  It continues to serve me daily when I bump up against unhealthy relationships. I enjoyed attending and thought it was so worthwhile that I have encouraged many friends to go and experience the beginning of freedom in their stories. Just as I have experienced the beginning of freedom, encourage to work through mine.”

*If you feel like anything is too much, we will honor whatever you feel called to do.

Hello! I'm Kim.

LICENSED MENTAL HEALTH COUNSELOR, LMHCA MA NCC

I love to travel and explore. Water is one of my therapists and being outdoors offers something to me I do not understand.

My relationship with Jesus is complicated and layered, yet I love Him dearly. I have a loving husband and remarkably amazing adult kids…all of us have battle wounds from each other… Yet, we pursue loving fiercely.

I am a 7 on the Enneagram. and ENFP on Myers Briggs. I am an LMHCA who is trauma-focused. I utilize several modalities of therapy when I work with people.

Along with my degree, I have been mostly trained at The Allender Center and @artoflivingcounselingcenter in narrative therapy while also doing a great deal in IFS and somatic approaches.

I am constantly working on finding more truth. This is an insatiable pursuit of mine. More truth about God, myself, and the world around me.

I know who I am, how I have been created, what I am meant to bring to the world. I have a deep love for myself, my story, and body. I see my scars as war tattoos that need to be seen because they offer something to others.

My dream is for you to know this for yourself, too!

“The weekend was really hard, but really good too.  I loved how you were in the stories as one of my fears was I’d be alone and you didn’t allow that for me and others which was great!! It far exceeded what I anticipated and would absolutely engage again because just writing down the story and slowly processing the moments alone was a huge thing but to say it out loud was a challenge but good practice to have a voice to get it out.  You had good insight to things I hadn’t thought about and those will continue to be things to wrestle with.  Overall, it was rewarding and I feel it will be a step in the healing direction I hope to keep going on.”

Keep doing this work … you're very good at it :)"

Facing our own depth and darkness can be scary.

When we cultivate inner safety -- that inner trust -- that inner knowing -- we learn how to be with our inner depth. We learn how to look at our darkness and see it not as something to rid ourselves of or feel bad about, but something to soothe.

Something to nourish and care for. Something to honor, learn from, and hold as sacred.

Something that inherently turns into growth, movement, and rebirth.

Something we can welcome as part of us.
